This years Secret Garden Party certainly lived up to its name – well not so much the “Secret” bit! The beautiful weather brought everyone out to play and the usual array of party wear shone and sparkled in the glorious sunshine.

With the weather being dry, it made getting around the site easier for everyone and thankfully there were some lovely shady places to catch a respite from the heat – one of which was the Gama marquee up in our Accessible Camping area. It proved to be a real hit for our Gama friends who congregated, chatted chilled, met up with friends and on occasion, slept in it!

The entertainment didn’t disappoint. Public Enemy belted out all their hits on the Saturday night, to an enthusiastic large crowd and fat Freddies Drop & Martha Reeves & the Vandellas rocked a relaxed sunday in the sun. The fireworks were incredible and as usual the viewing platform proved to be a great accessible space to watch it all – including a spectacular fly-past and display from two Spitfires.

All in all, it was  a great year at SGP. A few minor hitches to be resolved but it was, as always, wonderful to catch up with our group of Gama regulars and our new visitors to our area.

We look forward to catching up with you all, next year!
